UK Education Garden is a Cambridge based international education consultancy that gives professional advice to families/students who are already or considering to be living and/or studying in the UK. Established since 2017, we help international students around the world including Asia with their educational journey in the UK. We cover junior schools, secondary schools to universities, taking into account the students’ career aspirations. If their families also want to come and live in the UK, we can provide the necessary advice and support through our professional network.

UK Education Garden has a very different business model from other education consultants. We embed our beliefs in education firmly in conducting our business, looking after all our students and their families with genuine care, and focus not just on getting the right schools for the students but also on their long term well-being when they study in the UK. That includes providing career advice, ensuring sustainability of relationship with their families and maintaining the cultural heritage.

We are now looking for like-minded and experienced individuals in our Business Development area. Initially we will likely be working with you under a consulting agreement, moving to a more permanent arrangement based on your results. Working closely with our marketing team and senior management, you will actively find new clients families, bringing our unique service offering on their educational and other living requirements in the UK. In addition to the right level of experience, creativity, passion and belief in our principles will be vital.


Responsibilities and duties

  • Research prospective client families in our target markets, pursue leads and follow through to a successful agreement

  • Keep up to date with good understanding of the target market, and to provide input to marketing and sales strategies attract client families

  • Update and provide necessary management information from the CRM system

  • Manage an effective membership rewards scheme with current clients that encourages referrals of new prospects

  • Contribute and support marketing activities on social media and other channels

  • Develop a strong understanding of our service offering, our competition in the industry and positioning

Qualifications, skills and experience

  • University degree preferred but not essential

  • Five years proven track record in business development in sales in educational consulting, professional services or similar businesses

  • Excellent organisational skills, with emphasis on priorities and goal setting

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office. Some knowledge in website development will be helpful but not essential

  • Demonstrated knowledge and track records in using LinkedIn, Facebook or other social media in business development

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
