Ashford School named as one of the top 100 schools in the UK for cricket!

The Cricketer's Schools Guide 2023 has been released and we are delighted to announce that Ashford School has been named as one of the top 100 schools in the UK for cricket. Ashford School was selected from an exhaustive list of schools across the country. All entries were then judged against an extensive set of criteria, which included a compelling commitment to cricket in the curriculum, facilities, fixture programmes and coaching. Ashford School prides itself on the multiple sporting opportunities available to students with a sports programme accessible to all and tailored to meet the aims of all pupils. The school has benefitted from significant investment in the sports facilities at both the Prep and Senior School. Cricket facilities at the Senior School include 3 cricket squares, 6 functioning indoor nets, bowling machine, as well as use of local club venues. The School caters for all cricketers from first time players to elite players. Our elite cricketers have access to cricket all year round with winter academy, pre-season nets and 1 to 1 coaching. Once in sixth form, sessions are timetabled in at least once a week. In the summer term both girls and boys enter Kent Cups as well as a variety of local fixtures. The Ashford School U15 girls’ team are the current National Indoor Champions. Ashford School, founded in 1898 is a co-educational day and boarding School for children from 3 months to 18 years.  The school consists of Bridge Nursery, The Stables Nursery, Ashford Prep School, and Ashford Senior School.
